Australian Studies in Europe

In 2005, the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) commissioned a research project investigating teaching and research relating to Australia within Europe.  The research aimed to determine levels of activity in Australian Studies across Europe, as well as identifying disciplinary strengths.  These outcomes were intended to help Australian researchers wishing to develop linkages with European colleagues.

The research, in the form of a spreadsheet, is now available on the InASA website (http://asc.uq.edu.au/inasa/index.php) under the heading ‘Australian Studies in Europe’.  The spreadsheet lists Australian Studies personnel in Europe by country, gives their institutional contact details and areas of teaching and research specialisation.  An overview of Australian Studies in Europe is also provided.
